I stayed for one night before changing to my hostel.

I expected a great deal for the amount I spent on this bed draped in 70's linen. I was greatly let down.

The staff were rude.
The bed smelt like moth balls.
The room decor was a "classic" design, without the upkeep.
Got a lovely view of the building next door.
Felt like I was spending the night at a retirement village.

Milford Plaza was 6 times the amount of the hostel I stayed in after this. At Times Square Comfort Hostel (which is where I stayed) the beds were newer, cleaner, smelt better, and were the best beds I had ever slept on.

If you plan on going during a busy time of the year, look into booking your preferred accommodation well in advanced, as New York sells out quickly.

Perfect hotel for a city trip May 17, 2008
The Milford Plaza is situated in the heart of Manhattan and therefore the perfect starting point for shopping, sightseeing, musical, dinner, a walk thru Central Park etc.

I stayed in the Milford Plaza Hotel and although I loved the location, I did not really like the amenities of the hotel. We jumped on a Grayline bus and toured the entire city. We went to the top of the Rockefeller Center and shopped on Madison Avenue. We ate at the best… *The Big Apple!*

We jumped on the 8 Ave express train, which got us pretty fast to Port Authority bus terminal, where our hotel, the Milford Plaza is located. I really recomend the express train for such long trips, because they’re not stopping on every station. If you wanna stay in Midtwon the Milford’s location is unbeatable. It’s directly around the corner of Times Square… Arrived!
