We went to Milano's for a friend's birthday dinner in December 2013. We were looking forward to going as a number of people we know said they had the best pizza in Galway.

That couldn't have been further from the truth. The pizza is average at best. The woodfired base was thin and crispy but there was hardly any topping on the pizzas at all.

There are some cheaper pizzas for under 15 euro if you are watching your budget, but the drinks are very expensive, as are sides and deserts.

The ambiance was not very nice, the restaurant is large, cold, too brightly lit and very noisy and the service was nothing to write home about.

Overall it was far too expensive, it cost us 70 euro per couple to eat here when I could get a lovely seafood dinner at Kirwan's Lane for not much more. I wouldn't go back.
