Little hotel in the hussle and bussle of Hanoi Aug 23, 2008
We stayed here in Hanoi for 2 nights and had a comfortable stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, we booked our Halong bay trip through them as well as our open bus ticket. Our room had AC, TV and a private bathroom and was $20 a night for 2 of us. Maybe a little bit too much for you if you are travelling for a long time, but for us we wanted a nicer place for a couple of nights. Breakfast is included and there was a choice of menus - the pancakes were pretty good.
There is no lift though so be warned if you have a room at the top of the hotel. There are not than many rooms so it is pretty quiet(apart from the normal traffic noise of Hanoi!) - is located in a good area as well near to the lake and lots of restaurants.  Part of the SE Asia 2008 travel blog |

We eventually made it in one piece with our backpacks at our hotel - Mikes Hotel, which was a nice little place. We had booked it on line the day before and were relieved that they had recieved our booking. It was a little more expensive that we were nrormally paying at $20 a night, but it was a nice… Good afternoon, Hanoi |
