The Penquin Plunge is an annual event held in Middlebury to benefit the special olympics. Crazy people jump in the frozen waters "freezing for a reason".
Another annual event I attend is called "Flavors". This event is a benefit for the American Liver Foundation. Black tie, tables of 12 are set and we each have our own chef from various restaurants around Connecticut.
