Until I got to Bahrain and had a six hour layover. In which I couldn't le...

The first leg was ok, but the second dragged soooo much. But one good thing came out of it! I had a 3 hour wait in Dubai International. Once I'd got into the departures area, someone passed me with their missus to go into the British Airways lounge, and I thought I recognised him. A few seconds later ...

As there are no non-stop flights between London and Perth (yet), and flying on Emirates meant we stopped in Dubai for a couple of hours. The flight was smooth and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the meals weren't bad. after a long journey from Sydney.... I was greeted by warm dusty weather and also truly warm people of dubai (actually 80% of the population is immigrants from all over the world) must say from the airport you see the construction labor work force standing in ques for their visas and job contracts... only place in the planet where you can see the merging of the cultures... I would say after doing the touristy must dos such as the desert safari and the city tour of the gold souq which is in De...
