The Citadel was an awesome hostel. I tend to judge these places more on the atmosphere they have socially rather than the usefulness of the facilities, but this place had it going on in both categories. The only downside was the odd showers, but even that was hot water 24hours. By far not the worst …

If you are going to Wadi Rum, you should do an overnight tour, spending at least one night in one of the many desert camps within the national park. And if you are doing an overnight tour, you should really do one with a locally owned tour operator. And if you are choosing a locally owned tour opera…

Citadel is a kind of 5-stars Hostel. This trip was first one that I stayed in Hostels. First one in Tel Aviv was Ok, but very old. So for me staying in Citadel was like staying in Hilton!
Citadel was doing some improvements, so ground floor corridors near kitchen were little mess but not a problem…

It's hard to give this place ratings...because it has to be something you want to do! Surely camping in the desert in tents is not super clean...but that's not what it's all about! Sunset Camp is the final stop on a Bedouin desert tour of Wadi Rum. There are several tour packages you can choose, …

I think this is the only hostel in Dubai. For me, this meant I stayed here or didn't go to Dubai. The hostel itself is fairly immaculate. It's very clean, quite large, and has a swimming pool. And it was only about 30 USD a night. I stayed there for 6 nights in Oct. of 2008. There were just a few qu…
