Vanmorgen werden we om een uur of acht wakker. Dat was lekker op tijd, want om 8.30 uur zou de ontbijtzaal open gaan. Gelukkig kwamen we er op tijd achter dat de klok een uur teruggezet had moeten worden de afgelopen nacht, anders hadden we toch mooi een uur te vroeg geweest. Eenmaal aan het ontbijt genoten we daar goed van. Een echt hollands ontbijt was het met krentenbrood, normaal vleeswaren, een gekookt ei enz., wat hadden we dat gemist. We had 13 days to explore the northern parts of France, Belgium and The Netherlands. Off we set on the 10th June in trusty Bertie, our little VW Polo, our bikes and a tent.....little did we know how much it woud rain, and rain and rain..

Tomorrow at six a.m. it is finally going to happen: we're leaving for the airport to catch our plane to Indonesia! After almost six months of preparing, planning and training Niek, Hagar, Robbert and me are going te make a three week biking trip through Bali and Lombok. Mieke and I did a 9 day bike trip around the Netherlands, it was great, the weather was amazing, the sheep were friendly, the bikes behaved, we really had a great time, and it was a great way to see the country
