Saying goodbye to our floating "home away from home" is bittersweet. You've just had the time of your life and garnered lifelong memories, and now it is back to the everyday routine. Disembarkation began in early as the ship docked …airport, and after an hour and a half we were back at home. Glad to be home, tired, and already beginning to plan our next adventure! Well I arrived into Miami the night before the cruise, drove all the way from Tampa, Florida. I hate being in car for longer than an hour so the four hours were pretty grueling for me. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and the Miami International Airport…International Airport, very nice hotel and free breakfast. The morning of the 30th my partner and I got up bright and early and headed to the port, returning the car was a nightmare as was the shuttle from the car place to the port. Finally, the cruise vacation of 2009 is finally here! We have been planning this get away for months. The trip to South Florida has arrived, which was planned to the last minute. I planned to visit Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, Biscayne National Park, and Key Largo. I would save Key West for another time. The plane ride to Ft. Lauderdale took longer than e…International Airport was congested, with all those planes lined up for takeoff. It would take an hour before finally in the air.
