Splendid Tasting Menu Jul 11, 2009
I passed by this restaurant late one evening quite late looking for something a little different, but good quality. This restaurant is actually part of the Casanova BCN-hotel at Gran Via de les Corts, 559. The place has ambiance for sure and stylishly decorated. A little dark inside, but lighted enough at the table to make for intimate surroundings. I tried the Tasting Menu and it was a delight.

Appetizers (selection of tapas): Guacamole with totopos, Ceviche Mexiterranee, Bean sopes with sausages, Mozzarella and mushrooms, empanadillas. Includes Cantinflas cocktail

Fish: Turbot with kitin-xic. Includes a white wine.

Meat: Confited duck with Valentina emulsion sauce. Includes a red wine.

Desert: Rasberry with violet and maracuya sorbets

Coffee or tea

All this for 35 euros plus 7% tax. The service was quick and efficient, and the meal heavenly tasting and exquisitely presented. This restaurant is a real gem. If you have the chance, do go by and try the tasting menu. I highly recommend it.
