Nice collection of Mexican Art pieces May 30, 2010
Mexic Arte Museum is the official Mexican and Mexican-American Fine Art Museum of Texas. It features a number of mexican art figures and paintings from different periods of mexican history.

This time the exhibition was devoted largely to the Mexican revolution and they had awesome pictures of Pancho Villa, Zapata and other revolutionares. Naturally you could also see regional dance suits, Dia de Muertos skulls, images of the Virgin of Guadalupe and many other items of mexican folklore.

The entrance was free this time, but usually the fee is very small. They sell pieces of mexican art at the museum store, but they are very expensive.

Totally recommended if you are in the area.
