Headed to the little town of Methven in order to do the Mount Somers trek. Went to the office to book our hut tickets only to be told the weather would be bad enough to make te trek too dangerous for us to attempt. Huh. Not having much luck with this weather thing. SO had a lazy day here instead and spent a night in the local surrounded by skiers. They all had on those really expensive beany hats and Ripcurl coats trying to out-cool each other.
