I Found My New Favorite Cider! May 25, 2013
I'm not much of a drinker of any alcoholic beverage. On occasion, I'll have some cider, but only because my husband bought some (he's a big cider drinker). So, when I stumbled upon this off the beaten path cider house, I had to stop and try some to see if it would be something to buy and take home to the husband.
The Ciderhouse sits in the apple orchard. It includes a canopy that is supported in the middle by poles (similar to a tipi). Underneath, comfy couches are arranged so you can enjoy the live music.
I got the sample, which consisted of four ciders:
Eagle Screechin' Scrumpy (very dry)
Pinnacle Goat (a little lest tart/dry)
Howling Wolf (slightly sweeter)
Honey Bear (very sweet)
I usually don't like overly dry beverages, but for some reason, I liked the Eagle best, followed by the Goat.
I bought a bottle of the Eagle (for me) and the Wolf (for hubby) to take home. Both he and my downstairs neighbor liked the sweeter cider best, which mean more of the dry for me!
