Great Turkish Food Aug 17, 2008
Among my favourite places in Frankfurt.
Frankfurt is full of Turkish restaurants, but most of them are fastfood type, this one is quite big, it has many seats and tables, and the service is excellent. Plates are all from the Turkish cuisine, portions are quite big and taste is marvellous. Most of the plates are grills, but they also offer some sophisticated Turkish vegeterian dishes such as Imam Bayildi (Aubergines in the oven) Location is ideal as it is less than a 5 minute walk from the train station, and prices are excellent compared to the service/ portions one is getting, and also for European standards. Staff speaks German and Turkish, they can communicate also in some English and very basic Arabic. Favorite Dish: Adana Kebab - Grilled meat served with rice and yoghurt. Imam Bayildi - Aubergines in the oven Sutlac (pronounced Sultach) - a dessert, sort of a pudding. |
