MEXICO! First introduction to the country, what better a way then to explore the Yucatan Penninsula...Chichen Itza, Tulum, Merida, Playa del Carmen. Man was it hot, slept in a hammock on the beach most nights. Ruins-amazing. Ceviche-sooo good. Margaritas-uh hem, otra?

Snow Escape 09 - Backpacking Central America

The best thing about winter is not snowmen, or ice skating. It is getting away from it all together and exploring tropical areas. I decided this winter could be best spent diving in Utila so I rented an apartment there for the Month of February. The plan was to take a month to get there, visiting Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and some of Honduras on the way.
