Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale Reviews
Comfortable, Convenient & Competitive Prive Dec 31, 2011
Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale is right in the heart of the city and at the walk away from Rouen Cathedrale. If you wish to visit the old Rouen town, this hotel will not disappoint you. We can walk and see the old building, the old hospital, Cathedral and the place where Jon of Arc was burn.
We were placed on the 5th floor of the hotel, the room looks like a rooftop, from the window you can see the cathedrale building. The decoration of the room like an old library, we have the picture of Simone de Beauvoir on our bed head. Bed is good, warm and comfortable.
The room is clean but I gave only 4 stars rate for cleanliness because they forget one cleaning towel in the room.
The amenities are basic and according to the standard.
We were stayed during New Year Eve and it is impossible to get the room service so we cannot rate the foods and services from restaurant but the Front Office is a little bit lazy to do what we ask, I think maybe it was at Mid Night (We ask for an extra bed).
The hotel has a safe paid parking space which is very convenient if you bring a car but I suggest you should bring a medium size car because the parking is very narrow and deep ankle.
I would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again if I go back to Rouen.

This beautifully renovated hotel is ideally located in the heart of the old Rouen, right opposite the famous cathedral. The hotel has no restaurant, however clients have a wide choice of local restaurants in the surrounding area. This is a traditional building located on a pedestrianised area. The welcoming and warm reception area is of medium size, yet it opens onto a wide breakfast and bar area.
