The Mercure Hotel Halm Konstanz is a nice 4-star hotel in a central position right next to the train station and the port (where ferries and ships of the Lake Constance stop at). A very friendly and polite hotel staff gives you all the information you need for your stay.
The railway track is right in front of the hotel but you hardly hear it. It's really quite! You may just hear the street in front but this isn't noisy. The rooms are spacious, offer TV set(s), air conditioning (on request), a mini-bar, WLAN internet connection and a nice bathroom. Furthermore the breakfast buffet is definetly GREAT. A hugh selection of fresh fruites (and juices), croissants, granola, cakes, bread, ham, eggs, sausages, yoghurt, fried things, .... Just have a look at the picture. This breakfast buffet was a dream! I can recommend this hotel to everyone, and if I'll stay again in Konstanz, I would choose Mercure Hotel Halm Konstanz again. Enjoy!  Part of the Visiting Lake Constance (Mainau island) travel blog
