Mercado Central de Fortaleza is a circular/spiral market on the outskirts of the main market area of the Fortaleza. Market is very tourist oriented but there are also many stalls that cover things that are not just for the memory of the trip to Brazil. I find prices a bit raised and most of the stalls are tourist traps. There are few floors in the building made like arena. Sides are full of stalls that have their goods presented right in the front. Every floor seems to have similar things to offer and that are leather goods, lots of hammocks, shirts and small handmade touristy stuff. Bottom floors have few food stalls and couple places that sell preserves and jarred fruits. Most of the things can be bought for half price in the few streets, just couple blocks away. Close to the market is the largest cathedral in town and the interesting fortress.
