Menchie's Annapolis Reviews
Delicious Designer Frozen Yogurt Aug 13, 2010
Coldstone and Maggie Moo's are two ice cream franchises that have capitalized on the "make it your way" idea. You choose your own ice cream and toppings for the workers to mix together.
Menchie's brings this concept to frozen yogurt and takes it up a level. You choose how much frozen yogurt you want and how much of which type of topping!
The process begins with picking up a bowl. Then you pour in your frozen yogurt. Flavors are set up with two at a station that you can choose separately or have mixed (just like vanilla/chocolate twist at the traditional ice cream shop!). They have a wide variety of choices. On my last trip I tried chocolate chip cookie dough, cake batter, and red velvet. Many other options are listed on the website. What I liked about the flavors was that each one also had marked if it was kosher, gluten free, etc. While I don't have any dietary restrictions, several of my friends do, so this info being posted right there was really helpful. They also have a book on hand with more in-depth nutritional facts. Flavors do change. After choosing your frozen yogurt flavor(s), you move on to the toppings which pretty much include any toppings you could ask for; to name a few: M&M's, mini chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, Kit Kat, peanuts, Cap'n Crunch cereal, Fruity Pebbles, gummi bears, strawberries, blackberries, brownie bites, cheesecake bits, caramel sauce, marshmallow sauce. Once you are happy with your creation, you pay by the weight.
Seating is indoor and outdoor. It can get a bit noisy indoors, windy outdoors. There is a separate room where kids can play with a chalkboard and hula hoops. Definitely somewhere the children can burn a little bit of the energy from their sugary treat!
The decor is bright and cheerful in a mostly pink and green design.
