A great two day triathlon! First day off road: swim, mountain bike, trail run. Day two: Olympic distance. We had great weather for this event and it was my first time in Memphis, cool city.

I traveled to Memphis in late March 2008. Didn't have the opportunity to see Graceland and the MLK memorial but did have a great time on Beale Street. There was a Hollywood filming of "Soul Men" featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac during my stay. Don't forget to stop and see the Duck Palace and their daily march to the penthouse suite!

I decided to take a cross country road trip to gatlinburg tenn. on the way I stopped at friends places and expanded my road trip after the original cabin trip in gatlinburg, I head east to North Carolina to the outer banks, up north to MD to N.Y. withsights in between. after I left New York, I went thru PA to Ohio and spent a week there and had Tday with some friends. our day in memphis was dedicated to visiting Graceland, the home of Elvis. You can get a tour of his mansion, see his planes, and tour his garage. this city is a little more quiter on a sunday night. but still a good experience.
