Melk Vacation Guide

Melk is only about 1,5 hours from Vienna and is home to the Benedictine Monastry. The monastery of Melk is definitely a place to visit. It is definitely over the top baroque. Just south of Melk is the Schallaburg Castle. The castle is 16th century Renaissance and is still beautifully preserved. You can get a combination ticket to view both the monastary and the castle.
