Meliã Granada Reviews
Melia Grandada Nov 12, 2013
The Melia Granada is a slightly business-feeling hotel on the edge of the old town. Facilities include a bar/restaurant and a very, very small gym. The rooms were large, and very clean. The décor was slightly old fashioned but perfectly nice, and the bed was huge and comfortable.
The reception staff were very helpful. The location is very convenient for the cathedral area, although it’s a bit of a walk for the Alhambra (but then most places are). It’s in a safe looking, quiet area, and a good place for a quiet stay. The free toiletries were amongst the best I’ve had in Europe (the prize for best freebies still falling to the Caledonian Hilton for Europe, and the hotel in Chicago that gave me Aveda stuff ;))
There is wifi available in the rooms, if you ask for a code. We got a hefty discount on Expedia, making the rooms about £40 a night, which I think is good value. Much more than that and I think it might be a little steep.
