a map and some photos of my slightly unplanned trip around the world. The map outlines the general route I took, not counting the backtracking and double visits.
Argentina - Chile - Easter Island - French Polynesia - New Zealand - Australia - Bali - Hong Kong - Macau - Singapore

Australia is the right place to live!! first class cities, extraordinary wild animals, unique vegetation, perfect tropical beaches, endless landscapes and on top of that AUSTRALIANS!! Really nice and warm people to visitors concerned on preserving its rich natural resources.
The east coast of Australia offers the most of the attractions for first time visitors. Please do not miss the chance to see both Sidney and Melbourne as top city destinations alike.

I flew to Melbourne from Alice Springs and by the rime i got to my hotel and checked in it was already getting dark. This would be my only chance to get a few snaps of Melbourne as I was off to the Great Ocean Road on friday. I really liked Melbourne and wished I had spent more time there.

Melbourne, Australia (Feb 2000 - Jan 2002, Feb 2005)
Sights & Attractions
Much of Melbourne's appeal comes from enjoying the atmosphere on a walk around the city. The gateway to the city is the Flinders Street Station flanked by the Federation Square precinct. The modern skyline of the financial district contrasts with well-preserved Victorian architecture gives it all charm and character.

My chum Gillian lifted us from our hostel (THE BEACH, 97 Beaconsfield Parade Melbourne - great no complaints, clean and friendly) and we headed to her house to start our Christmas celebrations, she had the Christmas food in and l was to help prepare it.

Where was the Christmas on the beach - the BBQ turkey, the prawns on the barbie - that Australia was famed for??? It was blowing a gale ...

Melbourne is such a vibrant and wonderful city. With the neverending shopping at Swansea street and the trams at St Kilda's, the offbeat store and pubs up Smith street is really great!

Where better in the world to take your first solo trip? In the land of Oz of course! I started out in Sydney, hopped on and off the popular backpacker Greyhound route to Cairns, and from there a short flight to Melbourne. This country has everything to offer. Go on, have a look!
