Meininger City Hostel & Hotel Cologne: Read Reviews and Check Rates

This was overall a really good hostel. The staff were pretty nice and it was really clean. It was more like a hotel then a hostel really, there were a lot of families and older people there. Definitely not a party hostel. My room was awesome! I had a 4 bed female dorm(but for some reason there was an air mattress in the middle of the room?). The showers were the best I saw on our trip, they were nicer than my shower at home! There was also a TV with cable in my room, I ended up watching some MTV and relaxing, it was awesome. The breakfast was good, it was included in the price too. It was one of the best hostel breakfast's on our trip as well I'd say. One bad thing was the internet was down when we were there, which kind of sucked. The hostel was a bit boring, but there were so many good things about it I can't really complain too much about that.

This hostel/hotel was soo nice!! It's actually a 2 star hotel hehe. The hostel in general is very clean, nicely decorated, and well kept. And the rooms are all very clean as well with big windows, tv's, comfy beds, pillows, blankets, and sheets, and all with their own ensuite bathrooms which are very clean as well and have the best showers ever!!! Was average price and there is an all you can eat buffet breakfast every morning included in the price. When you check in you get 10 free minutes of internet as well but the computers were very slow. There is also a bar/lounge area downstairs. This hostel was really really nice for looks but I wouldn't really recommend it for atmosphere. It was rather quiet and it was an all ages hotel which includes children so it's not like there was a whole bunch of other backpackers staying there.
