If you're planning to go to the medina, make sure you aren't claustrofobic. It has small streets and alleys. It gives you nice photo's, but there are a lot of souvenirshops. The people of the shops are really pushy. They crap your arm and want to take you into their shop. I, personally, hate when somebody is to pushy. The exit is hard to find. I call it the marketing labyrint. If you like to bargain, you're in the right place in Tunisia.

To not make mess Hammamet is older than Jasmin Hammamet and has nice old Medina, while Jasmin Hammamet is modern touristic place grown up in last 10 years with lots of hotels along the coast, with "young" Medina build the same time as resorts of Jasmin Hammamet (but it's cute for tourists who doesn't care… Hammamet & Jasmin Hammamet |

This new medina is very nice. There is in the evening a lot to see. The show on the main square is very good. There are several bars and cafees. There is an italian restaurant which has really very nice meals. You can find this… new medina hammamet yasmine |

Hotel was a great base, and Hammamet medina is always worth a visit. The locals are, as I found them, very friendly, if a little overbearing but if you attempt to speak Arabic to them, even if it is a "no thanks" then they leave you alone much faster, and are really… Hammamet |

Tunis is a very big city with an huge medina called the Bab-el-Bahar. You get lost very easy in it. At the moment almost 693.000 people are living in Tunis.
