"Mecca" is the holiest place ever for the muslims all over the world, Many muslims who do not live in Saudi Arabia are always looking forward for the day when they can visit Mecca and perform the pilgrimage (Al Hajj).

There are many hotels around the Kaabah, and they are not very expensive so it is a good decision to stay next to the Kaabah, also there are many restaurants and a lot of shops where you can eat, drink or buy anything you want.

Women cannot travel here, except with a mahram, which is a man who is a close relative (i.e. husband, father, son, etc.), and the city is off-limits to non-muslims. If you are a muslim, you can get permission to enter Mecca by getting a certificate of Islam from your local mosque.
