Meat Lovers - Hippo Creek - African Grill

Ok, so I love my steaks....
and it doesnt get much better than this place...

Hippo Creek African Grill is located just behind one of Perth's premier beach locations - Scarborough.

Its a smallish restaurant attached to a Best Western Hotel.

The steak they serve is to die for (literally i suppose as well)!!

My favourite is the 'Hunter's Assaghai' which comes to your table on a large tripod with a half metre skewer dangling down. On the skewer is 500g of several large delicious flame grilled prime rump fillets of beef. above this is a ball of garlic or chilli butter wrapped in foil that slowly drips out and down across the meat during the meal and into the bowl of chips below the tripod. It's bloody fantastic!!

You can also 'lion kill' any meal by ordering a side of ribs...

They also have a 1kilo T-Bone, that if you manage to finish, earns your photo on the wall. They call it the Kilo Klub.

You can also order many other dishes, including lamb, ostrich, chicken, camel and seafood.

As well as having a fine selection of beers and wines you can also BYO wine.

It's always a great night!
