Kha Nom Jeen at Mea Pra Pai restaurant Mar 13, 2011
The following five kinds of the curries are specifically curry to be eaten with a Kanom Jeen. In actually we eat Kanom Jeen with many kinds of vegetables, types and number will vary according to shop or vendor, from the most basic is long beans, cabbage, sprouts, and Thai basil leaves.

1.น้ำยาป่า (nam ya pa ) is a type of thin curry with fish, coconut-milk free and fiery hot.

2. น้ำพริก (nam prik) is a type curry made of yellow beans, peanuts, coconut milk, minced shrimps. The taste is sweet, spicy, nutty, and creamy. We actually eat Kanom Jeen Nam-prik by accompanied with batter-fried leaves and herbs, boiled vegetables, steamed eggs, and fried chilies.

3. น้ำยา (nam ya) is a type of milder but still zippy thin curry, made of coconut milk, minced fish and wild ginger.

4.แกงเขียวหวานไก่ (gaeng kiaow wan gai ) is the mild and lightly sweet coconut-green chili curry with chicken.

5.แกงไตปลา (gaeng tai plaa) is a type of fiery hot southern-style fish curry.
