Fast Food for Fast Paced Travelers with great atmosphere Nov 28, 2010
If the golden arches that form the bright yellow “M” that stands for McDonald's does not give you a clue, then nothing will. Throughout North America, McDonald's is the number 1 fast food (junk food) chain restaurant. In recent years, some of the franchises are investing so much in them that they look like high end restaurants. One such McDonald's was in Phoenix. However, this review is for the McDonald's my family and I, stopped at for coffee on a recent return trip from San Antonio. McDonald's in Las Cruses just off the freeway (Interstate 10).

I wrote one other review on the McDonald's on Kolb and 22nd street in Tucson. I mentioned that having been a fan of Starbucks before, I made a turn for the better by switching to taking McDonald's coffee. It was for coffee that we made a stop in Las Cruces. I was absolutely impressed with the interior of this location, that I decided I would write a review, if only to show you what the inside looks like. Service was fast as all McDonald's do, but we took time to sweeten our coffees and I snapped a few photos. My medium coffee, and Mark's Large totaled $2.40, while Desire's obscenely sweet treat cost $1.75

Now why am I reviewing a McDonald's? Well it is definitely an option for a quick bite while on the road, and one must admit that while it is consider junk food, the service rendered to those of us who are always in a hurry is priceless. If you live in the United States, you know what I'm talking about. For the foreigners, McDonald's is actually a taste of “American Culture”, even though it should not be. Plus, when it comes to cost, nothing beats McDonald's "fast" food and service, let's face it.

If you happen to be on the Interstate 10 headed to or from Texas or New Mexico, make a stop here, you will be pleasantly surprised.

PS: Many wonder why I review McDonald's, do you? Try it.

Thank you all. I'm glad I'm not alone in this. I do prefer their coffee to the famed Starbucks and my daughter will not let me rest if we do not go to a Mc atleast once a month. I must agree with Alyssa there are more trashy ones than there are the classy ones.

That is a very fine looking McDonald's. Too bad more of them aren't that nice looking. The trashy ones are a little more common though.
