german festival = drunken fun for all Jan 18, 2009
Mayfest is an annual event in lincoln square chicago taking place at the end of May. Its also reffered to as Maifest. It is a celebration of german heritage but in a good way. There are carnival activities for the kids like sceeball and face painting. For adults there is live german polka type music, food, and lots and lots of beer.

Mayfest does not card and is free to get into. It has loehenbrau beer (10 bucks) and pabst blue ribbon (6 bucks). The beer is expensive but you get a lot for the price, and can sometimes get free refills and a mug if your lucky. Two or three stiens and you'll be pretty done for the night and ready to dance!

The food is your bratwurst, sniezels, and your pretzels. All are excellent. Only drawback is you'll need to quickly urinate and will probably.... have to wait in line., but there are also plenty of alleys!
oooo this will get ugly
ziggy zaggy!
