Affordable Philippines Cuisine. Feb 08, 2011
Max's restaurant - the one we ate in was in Harrison Plaza, (the Philippines first ever shopping mall, which opened in 1976.) Pasay City, Manila.

The service and food was excellent in an air conditioned restaurant which seemed to be a local favorite for lunch time hungry Filipino's and tourists alike. Our meal was for 2 people which included drinks and came to 533.00Php. We both declined dessert due to 'waist line' watching! An absolute bargain for waiter service food. Thank you.

Decent cheap chain restaurant Aug 07, 2010
This is a chain of decent restaurant offering Filipino dishes. Their most famous dish is their fried chicken..they cook it in a very different way, the chicken is very tender and the skin becomes so thin it almost become part of the meat. But the good Filipino dishes to try here is their Kare-kare, sinigang, crispy pata, lumpiang ubod, sisig, to name a few. The food cost is average..meaning, you are only paying a bit more for fastfood prices but for a decent meal..almost homecooked. The service is usually fast and good and you will almost not do bad in the ordering of food.

They also have desserts like halo-halo. Another thing to try would be the camote fries which is like french fries but using sweet potato. This could be ordered as an appetizer :) I like this place and keeps coming back :)
