I came here with my BFF and my mum. my BFF was craving for kare kare. i was craving for sinagang. yes they had yummy fried chicken. however, i did not have it just time. there food is always delirious. if you want to try filipino food this is place to go first before trying others.

Popular food: The famous fried chicken, milkfish bangus, pancit palabok.

Unique food: Halo-halo dessert (red beans, coconut, ice, ice cream, leche flan, and more!).

Drinks: Mango, guayabano, buko, and calamansi juice; Filipino brand beers.

Seating: Tables and booths for 100.

Ambience: Warm atmosphere that makes you feel like you're eating at someone's home.

Extras/Notes: An extension of the Max's Restaurant chain in the Philippines, founded in 1945 by Maximo Gimenez. Max's was popular with American G.I.s stationed in Quezon City, Philippines, who kept coming back for his fried chicken. Max's family spread the restaurant through the Philippines and to California. Karaoke in bar area at night.

Parking: $2.50 valet lot.

All time favorite Filipino foods upsized Sep 02, 2008
Max's is a popular fried chicken restaurant from Manila, Philippines. So when I saw this in California, I was ecstatic!

They serve all time favorite Filipino food in good cooking quality and evenmore, in bigger servings! (That super sized halo-halo was absolutely humongous!)

The restaurant is clean, ambiance is nice and the staff are nice. But the service is a bit slow though.

This restaurant is very nice for family lunch and dinners. You need to drive to go here as there's no widely available public transport, as per most areas in South California heartlands.
