once was enough Aug 15, 2011
August 2011.

In short... the food was good/okay/typical Indian. But not worth the price. We found nothing exceptional about it.

Our experience...

As we checked out the menu posted outside the restaurant we were chatted up by the door man who is a bit too smooth and chatty as he tries to entice you to come in. That's also typical for the restaurant district.

The menu at quick glance seems pretty reasonable in price as you are being distracted by the door man. This was annoying.

The menu is typical Indian fare so no real surprises there.... the surprise was in the price as we began to put together our meal for 2. Once you get in and start to order the bill goes double or more, quickly, the rice is extra, everything is extra, unless you order from the pre-selected menu which was around 30 euros for 1 person... uhmmm NO!

Overall afterwards, we felt a bit taken... one time was enough, wouldn't do it again and we left with a tourist trappy feeling.

The restaurant, though on the expensive side, has very good food and service. I was there on a Sunday night, and there was almost nobody else there so. I was served quickly and with good suggestions. I would go back, maybe with a friend to share the cost and have a variety of dishes.
