Rich in cultural diversity and harmony, crystal clear aqua blue water...temperature in the mid-70's, sun, flying fish, out in the middle of the Indian Ocean, and you realize you've arrived at the very destination the travel magazines have been teasing you for years! It's even better and more beautiful than you've imagined!

Ah the beautiful island of Mauritius... I am in absolute paradise. After Air Mauritius loosing my boyfriends bag I thought my trip was sure to be doomed. Mark and I spent our summer holiday of 2006 in Mauritius. I'd been with Mum and Dad when I was about 13, so I didn't really remember it.

The Botanical Gardens of Pamplemousses are definitely a must-see on Mauritius.
The gardens are known to naturalists throughout the world for their large collection of indigenous and exotic plants.
The 60-acre garden boasts 500 different species of plants, of which 80 are palms. Of particular interest are the giant water lilies, a spice garden and the Talipot Palms, said to flower every 60 years after which they die.

During the racing season in Mauritius, Champ De Mars is the best place to be on a Saturday afternoon.
this place is alive with sound, color, hustle, bustle and an atmosphere that will bring you out in goosebumps.
