If you want to feel like you're on top of the world, then Mauna Kea is for you. It's a huge observatory that has several telescopes. It is so amazing on top of the mountain, on a new moon the stars are INCREDIBLE!
You have to spend at least 1 hour at the visitors center to acclimatize, and you need a 4X4 vehicle to make it up past the visitors center, or you could go as part of a special tour. However, once you get up to the top, it's soo worth it. Enjoy!!
