Matterhorn Glacier Paradise - Zermatt - TravBuddy

The village of Zermatt is in the midst of it's winter season in the month of January. The weather deterioration has sometimes brought a mild winter days though. So on one sunny day, we decided to visit this renowned ski resort and decided to go to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. A snow-surfers and skiers area. As we were waiting for the bus we noticed that there were only few who didn't have any sport gears. Alright, who cares? From the train station we took the village electro bus which runs to the glaciers paradise station.Then the countdown began while we were queing for the gondola ride. Everyone wanted to have the best place. Those with backpacks, snowboards and skis against those who have nothing except our little shoulder bag. Huh! can you imagine? what a crowd and in that very moment,i thought of going back downhill....Anyway, as the cable car started to pull up, we were pleased up of the amazing views of the snow-covered alps till Italy and France. The weather was wonderful! The pull ended at the topmost of the mountain. Then we took the elevator up to a certain level and then walked up to the highest point of the mountain, the viewing platform. Because of its high altitude (3883 m)it is advised to walk slowly for one's safety and health. My photos will tell the rest.
