Beautiful castle Nov 02, 2013
We have a beautiful Inuyama castle in my city. So I think I might be strict about other castles. But when I saw Matsue castle, I was impressed with the beauty. Matsue Castle is in harmony with the surroundings. This castle has a big castle tower and beautiful garden. In addition a beautiful moat and neighboring samurai residences showed off the beauty of the castle more. Matsue Castle was built in 1611. The castle tower has survived the wars, fires and earthquakes. The gables look like a plover, so Matsue Castle is nicknamed the "black castle" or "plover castle".

Main building looks more like a temple than a castle - Japanese style castle I guess, yes?
