Stuart and Deb are driving from Wellington up to Tauranga for Christmas and then set off for two weeks travel up to the tip of the North Island and back again.

Well I have taken my family to Northland a very times.  Matauri Bay is one of my favourite places in New Zealand.  It has an awesome camping ground and every time you go there, you meet new people and everyone is in 'cruise mode'. The rainbow warrior is buried there, you can still collect shellfish, go fishing and there is a mean bay to swim in. It's not to far to travel to the cape and just sitting in the car watching the world go by is very awe inspiring.
