We took a plane to Mataram, in Lombok.   We went directly to the hotel, and from there we went to the Trio-Gili Islands, where we took a boat out to Gili Trawangan. I went scuba diving and snorkeling there, which is considered one of the best diving spots in the world. Its also a partying location, and there were "magic mushrooms", tons of bars, and some cool looking turtles.
