Decent mediterranean fare, nice patio, and hookah Aug 04, 2013
Sharing the $19.99 mixed grill with a date or friend is not a bad idea. Tenderloin kabob, shish tawook, and kafta kabob (beef, chicken, and kafta). The tenderloin was well seasoned and tasted great. The chicken was ok. The kafta was tasty. It's a decent amount of meat for two or one hungry person. You get a couple of sides with this too, so we opted for the hummus and roasted eggplant. The hummus was spot on, with a good amount of oil, which I like. The eggplant, well, it made the entire meal healthy, right?

I didn't like the cold and thin pita bread. My mind wandered to warm fluffy pita bread that comes fresh out of the oven. The service was also a little slow, primarily because they didn't have a big waitstaff, not because they don't care.

I didn't partake in the hookah, but many other customers did and were enjoying it. The patio is large and was nice to just sit outside and chill with a drink. It was a laid back vibe, even when it was crowded. If you like Mediterranean food and hookah and it's a nice evening out, Mary'z is calling your name.
