So I just finished browsing TravBuddy.com and I can say I really like this site. Everyone here seems so nice and has a lot to share about their travels. I checked out all the people who have been or are still living in Laos, my birth country, and I have to say you guys really make me miss that country. I haven't been their since I was 4. I think its time for me to make some travel arrangements in the near future.

I attempted to cross the USA on moto in 19 days. Headed out East first, then south and west, and finally heading home by way of a northern route. It all came to an end when I lost my wallet in Florida. So the epic ride was reduced to 12 states, 3800 miles in just 8 days.

My stay at the Norfolk Elks Lodge was cut short due to an electrical problem. They had not set up their RV parking area with enough power and as a result, I was sharing a line with a big motorhome who was running all of his systems including dual air conditioning units. Well, you can guess what happened, we blew up the electrical panel and after checking with the lodge , I found out it would be some time before they would get it fixed. With temperatures very high and loads of humidity, I deci…

We got stuck in NYC for a few extra days because of a hurricane, and therefore went straight to Annapolis. Arriving earlier than we planned, we held a huge BBQ on the boat, cooking up every piece of meat in sight - steaks, burgers, sausages, fish, you name it - it is was on the grill.

We loaded on supplies and took off to head up the C&D canal, out the Delaware river, up the coast of New Jersey, past NYC, up the Long Island Sound, around the Cape and into Boston.

After getting off to a slightly late start, Becky and I located our first scrapbook store of the day in the Putty Hill Plaza. Although not a large store, it was uncrowded and neatly organized. We were pleased by the paper selection. My favorite find though were the brads which were sold in small bags. I liked being able to purchase small amounts of specific colors rather than a lot of one color which I wouldn't use for awhile (if ever). I especially liked the spa…

This was only going to be about my trip to Europe, but my entire month of August is so sporadic, I decided to add it too. I'm moving from Austin to Baltimore for grad school, so I'm visiting friends and family first, then heading to Europe, and closing out with a security conference in Chicago.
