After Alsace, France we headed back to the U.S.A. We hopped from New York to Baltimore and then to the Outer Banks. We met our godchild, Zoe Rose Duffy, who is beautiful. Scott and Pam are getting married. Gabe and Melissa are having a baby and buying a house. Mary got a new apartment and Nels. Kim and Eli are pregnant. Karen loves motherhood. Tasted Dad's famous chicken wing sauce! I donated most of my hair and got a new cut. Liz drove 4 ...

So I just finished browsing TravBuddy.com and I can say I really like this site. Everyone here seems so nice and has a lot to share about their travels. I checked out all the people who have been or are still living in Laos, my birth country, and I have to say you guys really make me miss that country. I haven't been their since I was 4. I think its time for me to make some travel arrangements in the near future.

Spring break is normally at the beach right? So this year we decided to go north instead of south. Kind of as skiing uphill LOL.

So while we were in Iraq a few buddies and I decided to go to Vegas when we got back to have a little fun. We planned to go in late January, not realizing that it would coincide with Super Bowl Weekend. But hey we just wanted to have fun. Anyway I flew out of Dulles at 10 am and arrived in Vegas at around 4pm. We had arranged for a limo at the airport, it sounds fancy but it only cost $40 to and from the airport, so I figured hey, why not?

This trip essentially began with a week in beautiful Sydney, Australia.
I wasn't sure of my itinerary, but I did pick up a Vietnamese Visa in Sydney, so after a few days visiting friends in Perth, I headed that way from down under.
After Vietnam, I revisited Bangkok and Frankfurt to complete my Round the world adventure!

Really itching to get some big cities under my belt--so I headed down towards Baltimore... Parked my car on the south side of town in a very nicely restored area... From what I gathered, this part of town was nothing but decay a few years ago. It's great to see real efforts to reverse urban rot. (Although urban rot is fascinating to see as well). I followed the wharf up to the touristy harbour area. Took a couple of clips, including one in front of the submarine (figure...

We awoke at the crack of dawn today, got ourselves together and headed
out to catch the train into Baltimore. We had plans to visit to the
National Aquarium, which is on the Inner Harbor. The train ride was nice, just a commuter train, which wasn't very
crowded. The conductor took quite a shine to DJ and sat with us for
most of the trip, pointing out things and sharing history with us. The
station sits right in from of Camden Yards, which is the home of the
Baltimore Orioles baseball tea...

Early start this morning as I had to get all the way down to Virginia by the evening.
After a brief breakfast, thankyous and goodbyes to my find host C, I headed out. Fuel stop first (or 'gas' as I will undoubtedly be corrected). Refueling the car has been somewhat of a challenge for me on this continent. Back in the UK you can just wander up to a pump choose the hose for the desired flavour (raspberry is mine but no one ever stocks it) and away you go.
In the states you have a number ...
