Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde Nov 24, 2013
Cathédrale Marie-Reine-du-Monde is a huge cathedral in the center of Montreal. Façade and the front entrance do not really say that you are getting into classical cathedral, but if you look towards the back green dome comes over the tree line. Front is supported with large columns and holds the line of bronze figures probably saints. I could easily confused it with government building or some kind of banking thing. Inside is really large and monumental interior with a nice altar and baldachin that looks a lot like the one in Basilica of St. Peter in Rome therefore it is surely Roman Catholic church. It is very peaceful inside, total contrast with outside business center of the city.
