When returning to Canada to visit some family I decided to travel down to Niagara Falls for a weekend. This was quite possibly the greatest decision of my life. The area has a little bit of everything attractions, relaxation, and nightlife. The Casino was just a short walk from the hotel which made it very easy for me to get around. The service that I was provided while staying at the Marriott was second to none. I am a finicky traveler who has very discerning tastes and the Marriott Fallsview Hotel did everything I could have imagined. The service wasn't the only great thing that the hotel has. Could I have possibly forgotten to talk about the view? This was the greatest view I have ever experienced in my life. I barely had to leave the room. Floor to Ceiling windows provided an excellent way to see the amazing fireworks and illumination. Overall this was a great vacation that allowed me to relax for a weekend and I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

If you stay at this hotel, try to get a room above the 5th floor. The first room we had was 502, the trees were in the way of the view. We requested a change to a higher floor, which the staff accomodated to the 14th floor. The view was amazing. The staff in the hotel were great. Always saying hello, how are you, etcetera. If you are going to go for a walk, take your own water, for about 950ml, from the hotel it is 9.95. The first night we were there, we ate in the Taripin Grill. We decided to have the Chicken stuffed with Feta and Dried Tomato. Tasted teriable! We should have had the pork, or lamb as it looked fantastic. The breakfast buffet in the same restaurant was awesome, but if you had to pay for it, not worth 21.00 / each. The second night we were there we wnt to The Keg restaurant, located next to the Marriott. Now here is were it starts to suck! We had to wait 2 hours because they would only accept 180 reservations for the night. After spending 2 hours waiting for our table, we were sat in a very (extremly) loud section of the restaurant. The waitress was new, and left us sitting for about 10 minutes before asking if we were ready to order. (No prelim...right to the food!) If we had not of waited for 2 hours, we would have left long before we hit 10 minutes. We told her that we wanted Prime rib, rare, she responded with they were out! But not to panick as she would go check. (sounds like the cooking staff should have told them when they were going to have prime rib available, instead of the other way around).

Finally the tax. Apparently Niagara Falls has a 3% DST tax. This tax is suppose to help support tourisim in the area. It is so unfortunate that the city / region has decided to do an additional grab of cash on the people that are visiting. My wife and I are...were regular visitors to Niagara Falls, but because of this one thing, I doublt very much we will be back. As an example, I was in Vegas April 08, this trip, including flights was only 300.00 more then what we spent at the Falls.

The Marriott Fallsview is by far the best hotel in Niagara Falls Canada. I have stayed at several other places but none compare to the Marriott Fallsview. The views from the rooms are amazing. I beleive this hotel is the closest to the falls. all of the employees are friendly and very helpful. The restaurant is a little pricey but it is a five star restaurant so that is to be expected. There is an onsite spa (Serenity Spa By   The Falls) which is fantastic. My wife and I got a couples massage and it was very realxing. I could go on and on but really you just have to vist this hotel for yourself. So if you are travelling to Niagara Falls stay at the Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel and Spa you will not be disapointed. Check out their website: http://www.niagarafallsmarriott.com   I will now stay at Marriott Hotels whenever I travel because of the great experience I had.

It's nice, if you can afford it. I recently stayed there and the room cost $1000 per night (good thing we weren't paying for it!). Also, they misname their floors so you'll think you're higher up than you actually are. The first floor with hotel rooms is the "5th floor," which would probably be called the 3rd floor in any other building.

People are right about the Marriott Niagara Falls Hotel Fallsview & Spa.  The 5th floor is really the 2nd floor.  I was prepaid, so guess where they put me.  I was in room 530, with a view of the hotel next door.  No jet tub, no view… Niagara Falls
