Marriott Hotel Portsmouth
Marriott Hotel Portsmouth Reviews
May 24, 2009
I wouldn't say that the service was extraordinary. Given that the hotel is 4-star, it didn't really meet my expectations as a 4-star hotel. It was just ok. It's not too far from where the office is located and they provide the service to and from, except that they really don't follow the service schedule more often than not. The train station is not walking distance, and you have the option of taking the bus for 1.50 pounds fare(the bus stop is about 10-15 mins minutes walk from the hotel depending on how fast you walk) but the frequency is about 30 mins after each one (worse on Sundays). The cab costs 5 to 6 pounds to the Cosham train station. The nearest pub/restaurant you could find in the area is at Port Solent, about 15-20 mins walk.
