Marriott Hotel Hamburg

Very similar to my review for their property in Berlin - pricey, but great location for visiting all of the sights around one of Germany's best cities. The Christmas Market here was also one of my favorites, and that’s saying truly something because they're all great across Germany. Hamburg is a very modern city and its infrastructure lends itself to allow someone to walk everywhere from the hotel area to the waterfront, which provides some spectacular views during sunset. Now there is a good bit of construction taking place in the vicinity, but I didn’t find myself being awakened early by the noise.

Hamburg should definitely be one of your 5 ‘must see’ cities if you’re traveling around Germany, and if you need a solid all around property, or if you’re a Marriott member like myself, this property is highly recommended.

Loved this hotel. We had 4 people staying in a room and it didn't feel cramped at all. The bathroom was great (but no ventilation fan?? Is this a Europe thing?)and the beds were very comfortable! Great walking distance to the main center as well as close to shops - right outside the door! Took advantage of the pool and hot tub and enjoyed our stay! I would have liked to take advantage of their spa treatments but we didn't have enough time, though it did look reasonably priced and very nice.
