stay at a place with genuine class May 21, 2009
One Superior Place is a luxery apartment building near downtown chicago, and right off the magnificant mile which is the main shopping area of chicago. The building is new, in fact it is still under construction and will not be complete in June 2009. Also it does not use union labor, and because of that there are occasional protests which display a giant inflatable rat.
The residents are a mix of wealthy people who own their own apartment (starting at 250,000), to people who live in company sponsered rooms, which is what I did. To rent a room here you have to stay for a minimum of 7 days, and the cost is 121 dollars a day. What do you get? A 2 room appartment, weekly maid service, and a parking space ( 9.50 a day). The main reason to stay is that it is close to the centre of chicago (10 minute walk), quick access to the L (red line is 1 block away), along with a neighborhood field.
