Upper West Side Aug 02, 2008 Value: Location: Cleanliness: Amenities: Bed: Bathroom & Shower: Service: The Marrakech Hotel is on the upper west side of New York City. I stayed there with my brother and we found it to be just what we needed for a night. It's got a strange decor as you walk up the stairs from the street. It almost felt like it was straight out of the 70s and was definitely in need of an update. It is in a good location and is far enough away from Times Square that you don't have to deal with that mess of noise, humanity, and light. It's a short walk to Central Park and Riverside Park and has nearby subway stops. It is on Broadway, so it's got plenty of eateries to choose from and I think there was a Starbucks every 100 feet. The room was comfortable and clean and I slept like a baby.
