Lovely park but nightmare at bank holidays! May 26, 2015
This is a very popular place to visit and it is easy to see why. There are two large play parks, a splash pad, a skate park and a boating lake. There is also a little railway that will take you from one side of the park to the other when running. There is also a small courtyard area where there is a little cafe, a plate painting place for children, some toilets and a couple of little shops. There are plenty of big open fields on which to play football and other ball sports and it is also a good place to walk dogs.

It's a nightmare at bank holidays in particular though due to the fact that it has an entrance directly off a main island so when everyone is queuing in an attempt to find a car parking spot which can clog up the roundabout and the roads that lead to it, so be sure to get there early and have a pocketful of change for your car parking money.
