Affordable and well-presented museum Dec 03, 2011
This niche museum showcases the history of maritime trade in the Southeast Asian (and nearby) regions. It's right near the entrance of Resorts World Sentosa, easy to reach. The "aquarium" part was not open yet (opening 2012), so the museum is a steal at just $5 entry.

There are a ton of old objects recovered from shipwrecks, and lots of very well-presented exhibits, nice enough that each exhibit is worth taking a photo of. The museum is mostly lit naturally through daylight from large windows. There is plenty of text at each exhibit, for those who like to read up on what they're looking at.

I wish the place was bigger, but at just $5 it's well worth the money (unlike some of the tourist traps on Sentosa).
