Mario's Peruvian & Seafood Restaurant
Mario's Peruvian & Seafood Restaurant Reviews
Jul 22, 2006
I love this place so much. When I lived in L.A., I was just 20 mins miles away from Mario's and went there once every 2-3 months. my two favorite dishes are the picante de mariscos and the saltado de pollo.
Parking's a nightmare and the service is slow and not particularly friendly. It's a complete dive, which makes it all the more wonderful, and it has the requisite low prices to round out the profile. I mean, maybe "saltado" is a pretty traditional Peruvian dish but when you try to explain it to someone like me I hear, "you know, it's like french fries mixed with chicken and cilantro and stuff," and I just get confused and scrunch my face up and i try it anyway. i love trying new things. The drive back was long and we all kept making sure if Jenn was OK
with driving. Eventually, in Rancho Cucamonga, I took over the wheel
and soon we were back at home sweet home in LA.****************************************************************…… Home Sweet Home! |
